When you think of denim you think of that dark blue color that you see in jeans or that light blue color you see in the denim shirts. But because denim is also made with cotton there are variations of the blue you see on most denim style clothes. But did you know that denim is also available in other colors?
Some of the other colors of denim are Alice blue, azure, blue, cerulean, cobalt, cornflower, dark, dodger blue, indigo, midnight, navy, periwinkle, Persian, powder, royal, light, steel, sapphire and ultramarine. These are all shades of blue denim. The other colors are white, lavender, pink and red. The colors are seen mainly in jeans and in hats. There are some white denim shirts that are made; these are the most popular colors.
Most denim is blue because when they first introduced to America, manufacturers used an indigo blue dye and the color was introduced as denim, so that is what they used when they described denim. But like anything else, there were some modifications to the colors and now there is a variety of colors.
Denim is classic and the color should not change so much, denim is what it is because of the color, it’s ok to for other colors but let’s try not to vary from the true classic color it is.
